The Limits of Prison Legislation explores the normative and performative limits of prison regulation on the borders of crime with tort, non-criminal enforcement, medical law, business regulation, administrative sanctions, terrorism and intelligence regulation. This course covers the law of crimes and the legal justice system, together with the prison act and the mental component in crime, consideration of specific offenses as defined by statute and the common law, and discussion of typical defenses.
